VMWare Converter Released#

A couple of months ago I blogged about Converting a Physical Machine to a Virtual Machine using the beta version of the VMWare Converter.

The beta worked flawlessly and it has now been released.  Even better it is free!  Check it out here.

I saw this lastnight when I was contemplating about moving my SBS server to a virtual environment.

I tride VS2005 R2 on my MCE system and it frankly just doesn't work properly. So lastnight, I decided to try VMWare Server and I hunt around for P2V tool from VMWare (remembering you mentioned it when you did your P2V migration). BAM! I saw VMWare Converter available as free for Express edition.

So with VMWare Server and Converter Express being free... Anyone could easily consolidate any physical system to virtual system in no time, and very cheaply too!
